Equal Justice Works Fellowships
The Equal Justice Works Fellowships Program is the largest postgraduate legal fellowship program in the nation. The program was launched in 1992 to address the shortage of attorneys working on behalf of traditionally under-served populations and causes in the United States and its territories. In 1997, Equal Justice Works, formerly the National Association for Public Interest Law, expanded the fellowship program to encourage partnerships between law firms, corporations and public interest organizations to fund fellowships. The Texas Access to Justice Foundation, committed to ensuring access to justice for the poor, partners with Equal Justice Works in the sponsorship of innovative fellowship projects in Texas. Additionally, the Foundation was instrumental in securing the law firm of Vinson & Elkins as a major fellowship sponsor. Fellowship projects in Texas.
